FIONA PARDINGTON unveils a new series of work on Vladimir Nabokov. Released for the first time as a mini Photobook App to accompany the exhibition Nabokov’s Blues: The Charmed Circle at the inaugural 2017 Honolulu Biennial. Not only was Nabokov the most famous novelist of his time but he was also a highly regarded lepidopterist.

The butterflies must be his own, their thorax crushed by the fingers that held the pen with which he wrote.
Fiona Pardington

Pardington is the first artist to be granted access to the Nabokov archives. Continuing themes of love and death, with an interest in only those butterflies caught and killed by Nabokov, Pardington exhibits 13 new works. All works are included in the App, along with a brief introduction by the world expert on Nabokov's life and work, Distinguished Professor Brian Boyd. This mini App is the prelude to a much larger series of publications by Pardington and Boyd.

Fiona Pardington is represented by Starkwhite.
